Randolph-Macon College seeks a highly skilled and experienced Director of Development for Athletics to join our team. This individual will be responsible for cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors to support the College's athletic programs.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify, cultivate, and solicit prospective major gift donors to raise significant support for the College's operating, endowment, or capital athletic priorities.
- Implement a comprehensive solicitation program to achieve fundraising goals for the Yellow Jacket Club.
- Coordinate and oversee mass solicitation efforts, including mail, digital, and event-based campaigns.
- Manage the Yellow Jacket Club Advisory Board and foster the efforts of YJC volunteers.
- Develop marketing and promotions plans for athletic corporate sponsors.
- Collaborate with the Sports Information Director to develop an integrated communications plan for athletic donors and fans.
- Recommend strategies to support and advance the strategic goals of the athletic department and the Yellow Jacket Club.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- At least 3-4 years of proven fundraising and event management experience, preferably in higher education.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to recruit and motivate volunteers.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel and work extended hours, including some nights and weekends.
