Job Summary

The Patient Care Coordinator plays a vital role in modeling the Compassus values of Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Innovation. This position is responsible for promoting the Compassus philosophy, using the 6 Pillars of Success as the foundation. The ideal candidate will uphold the Code of Ethical Conduct and foster positive working relationships within the company, among all departments, and with external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule patient services and coordinate with staff in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Participate in coordinating care with management and patient interdisciplinary teams.
  • Provide effective communication to patients, staff members, other healthcare professionals, and referral sources.
  • Respond to agency and patient needs in a professional and creative manner.
  • Perform on-call responsibilities as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience with patient scheduling highly preferred.
  • Prior customer service experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities
  • Mathematical skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Language skills: ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Work Environment

The demands of this role require regular standing, walking, and manual dexterity. Adaptations can be made to accommodate team members with disabilities. Visual acuity requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Estimated salary range $15.00 - $26.26 / hour. Actual salary will vary by geographic location and experience.
