Are you a financial expert with a passion for maintaining accurate records and ensuring every transaction is properly documented? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you as the Accounting Lead at North Pacific Management. In this pivotal position, you will oversee the financial activities related to payables and receivables, as well as reconciliations for our operations.

Position Overview: You will be accountable for managing the financial activities of both payables and receivables, along with overseeing the AP/AR Clerk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely processing of invoices by distributing them to relevant departments for authorization and coding
  • Maintain organized filing systems for unpaid and paid invoices, reconcile vendor statements, and address any discrepancies
  • Handle the preparation of annual 1099 statements
  • Generate accurate invoices for corporate, group, and private dining accounts, follow up on overdue accounts, and accurately post check payments
  • Manage the hotel’s gift certificate account, prepare quarterly tax-exempt summaries, and distribute monthly aging reports
  • Provide exceptional customer service for billing inquiries and credit references
  • Complete month-end tasks to assist in corporate financial statement preparation
  • Reconcile credit card transactions and bank accounts, showcasing a solid understanding of general ledger accounting

  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in hotel accounting is required
  • Experience with bank reconciliation and general ledger preferred
  • Associate's degree in accounting or equivalent practical experience
  • Proficient in general accounting practices and skilled in Microsoft Excel/Word
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to perform well under pressure with minimal supervision
