Key Responsibilities:

  • Distribute and manage invoices for departmental authorization and coding, ensuring timely processing for payments.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for unpaid and paid invoices, reconcile vendor statements, and address discrepancies.
  • Prepare annual 1099 statements accurately.
  • Generate timely invoices for various accounts, follow up on overdue payments, and accurately post received payments.
  • Oversee the management of gift certificate accounts and prepare necessary tax-exempt summaries.
  • Provide exceptional customer service for billing inquiries and credit references.
  • Execute month-end closing tasks for corporate financial reporting.
  • Reconcile credit card transactions and bank accounts, demonstrating proficiency in general ledger accounting.

Additional Duties:

  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace.
  • Exhibit professionalism in all interactions.
  • Report any unsafe conditions to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Foster positive relationships across various departments.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in hotel accounting is required.
  • Experience with bank reconciliations and general ledger accounting is preferred.
  • An associate's degree in accounting or equivalent practical experience is necessary.
  • Proficiency in general accounting principles and Microsoft Excel/Word is essential.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills are required.
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure with minimal supervision are crucial.

Physical Requirements:

6-8 hours: Sitting

3-6 hours: Grasping, Reaching

1-3 hours: Standing/Walking

Up to 1 hour: Climbing Stairs, Crouching/Bending/Stooping, Lifting/Carrying (up to 20 lbs.), Pushing/Pulling
