Position Overview


We are in search of an enthusiastic and approachable Senior School Facilities Supervisor who will take charge of leading and collaborating with a dedicated team of custodial staff.

In this role, you will be responsible for training, inspiring, and guiding a group of school custodians.

You will enjoy weekends off along with excellent union benefits. The compensation for this Monday to Friday role is $19.15 per hour, paid bi-weekly, and includes medical, dental, and vision insurance. Additional union benefits encompass vacation time and 11 paid holidays after accumulating 522 hours of work.

This position offers a comprehensive benefits package through the union, which includes medical, dental, vision coverage, paid time off, and a pension plan.

The stated pay represents the hourly range or rate for this position, with specific offers varying based on the applicant's experience, skills, capabilities, geographic location, and market alignment.

Moreover, you will participate in an apprenticeship program that provides bonuses as you complete various milestones.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • No prior experience is necessary; on-the-job training will be provided
  • No high school diploma, GED, or college degree is required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in customer service
  • At least one year of relevant work experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members
  • Facilitate communication among team members, clients, customers, and management
  • Address performance issues with the Supervisor
  • Assist in training the cleaning team
  • Coordinate work assignments effectively
  • Help create daily and weekly work schedules
  • Oversee and execute cleaning operations in designated facilities
  • Manage security protocols for keys and access cards
  • Report maintenance work orders
  • Ensure the premises are secured at all times
  • Collaborate with the Manager to schedule tasks with the Property Manager and cleaning crew
  • Monitor job quality and confirm completion with the Manager
  • Provide training for all new hires assigned to the facility
  • Conduct weekly checks on supplies, equipment, and cleaning chemicals
  • Complete order forms accurately and thoroughly
  • Coordinate equipment usage and inventory management
