The Senior Internal Auditor plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of operations within PeaceHealth. This position is designed for individuals who are adept at providing independent and objective evaluations of organizational processes.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will:
1. Conduct comprehensive audits across various domains including Business Operations, Compliance, IT, Quality, and Financial sectors within a multifaceted healthcare organization.
2. Lead and participate in assurance and consulting activities aimed at identifying risks and evaluating control measures.
3. Communicate findings effectively to senior management and the Board of Directors, ensuring transparency and accountability.
What You Will Appreciate:
Your role will involve:
- Engaging in ongoing risk assessments and collaborating with process owners to develop robust internal controls.
- Leading integrated audits in line with the approved Internal Audit Plan, ensuring thorough documentation and tracking of management action plans.
- Defining audit projects, identifying risk areas, and drafting reports to communicate results to leadership.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare, or Business.
- A minimum of 5 years of audit experience, with at least 3 years in a management capacity being advantageous.
- Experience in healthcare auditing, internal auditing, and data analytics is preferred.
Skills and Competencies:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Strong leadership abilities and sound independent judgment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on team collaboration.
- A high level of attention to detail and the ability to analyze complex data effectively.
Working Environment:
