About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Employee Benefits Account Manager to join our team at Brown & Brown Insurance. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients, managing their employee benefits accounts, and developing new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in client meetings and sales calls to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Manage and resolve claims, benefit inquiries, and enrollment issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Correspond with carriers, members, and providers to educate and clarify benefits, resolve disputes, and verify eligibility.
- Investigate and research service issues, providing timely and effective resolutions.
- Assist with the implementation of new business and training of new Account Managers.
- Stay up-to-date on current and pending federal and state legislation related to employee benefits, including HIPAA, COBRA laws, and FMLA.
- Pursue ongoing personal and professional development to stay current in the industry.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred but not required with relevant work experience.
- 3 years of experience in employee benefits customer service at an agency or company level.
- Basic computer knowledge in Windows environment, including spreadsheet creation with Microsoft Office 365.
- NYS Life, Accident & Health License required.

- Competitive pay based on experience: annual pay for this role is $60-$76k to be paid on an hourly basis.
