American Airlines is a leading commercial airline that provides passenger and cargo services across North America, Central America, South America, the Caribbean, Europe, and Asia. - The Brand Licensing Analyst is tasked with cultivating and overseeing global licensing collaborations for American Airlines. You will manage some of the most recognized trademarks and brands, aiming to expand reach, enhance customer relevance, and generate revenue for our brands. This position leads critical agency partnerships to uncover potential licensing opportunities, negotiate contracts, ensure licensed products meet brand standards, and assess the impact across the licensing portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of brand licensing and management, exceptional negotiation abilities, and a sharp awareness of market trends.
Minimum Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Product Licensing, or a related field, or equivalent experience/training
• 5+ years of experience in brand licensing or product management
• Proven experience managing a P&L, agencies, and reporting outcomes related to Brand or Trademark licensing
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing complex projects and timelines
• Strong knowledge of brand management and intellectual property rights
• Proven success in negotiating and managing licensing agreements
• Organized, accountable, and proactive
• Ability to analyze market trends and data to inform strategic decisions
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Skills & Competencies
• Ability to inspire and understand the dynamics between people, processes, and systems; must be a strong project manager
• Excellent grasp of brand and product trends, fostering collaboration among marketing managers, strategists, designers, and agencies
• Knowledge of international licensing and global market trends
• Detail-oriented and adept at resolving issues at all project levels
• Collaborative with various stakeholders; effective communication and teamwork are essential
• Outstanding written and verbal communication/presentation skills with a keen attention to detail
