  • The Brand Licensing Specialist will be tasked with developing and overseeing global licensing collaborations for American Airlines. You will manage some of the most recognized trademarks and brands, aiming to enhance visibility, maintain customer relevance, and generate revenue for our brands. This position involves leading significant agency partnerships to uncover potential licensing opportunities, negotiate contracts, ensure that licensed products adhere to our brand standards, and evaluate the impact across the licensing portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of brand licensing and management, exceptional negotiation abilities, and a sharp awareness of market trends.
Qualifications for Success

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Product Licensing, or a related field, or equivalent experience/training

• 5+ years of experience in brand licensing or physical product management

• Proven experience managing a P&L, agencies, and reporting results related to Brand or Trademark licensing

• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing complex projects and timelines

• Strong understanding of brand management and intellectual property rights

• Proven success in negotiating and managing licensing agreements

• Organized, accountable, and proactive

• Ability to analyze market trends and data to inform strategic decisions

• Capacity to collaborate effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Skills, Licenses & Certifications

• Ability to inspire, support, and understand the interplay between people, processes, and systems; must be a strong project manager

• Excellent understanding of brand and product trends, fostering collaboration among marketing managers, strategists, designers, and agencies

• Knowledge of international licensing and global market trends

• Conscientious and skilled at resolving issues at all project levels
