**Job Summary**
New Directions for Veterans (NDVets) is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Resident Services Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a critical role in supporting our mission to improve the lives of veterans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular assessments of tenants to identify their needs and develop individualized service plans to promote their retention in permanent housing.
- Develop and maintain resident case files, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and program guidelines.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with the Property Management Team and other site-based service providers to ensure seamless delivery of services.
- Plan and execute community-building activities, including tenant councils, outings, and community engagement initiatives.
- Identify and develop relationships with local resources to provide additional support services to tenants.
- Produce a visually appealing monthly calendar and newsletter highlighting upcoming activities and events.
- Coordinate transportation planning for off-site services and events, including transportation of tenants to appointments when necessary.
- Utilize evidence-based practices, such as Motivational Interviewing and Strength-based Case Management, to support tenants in achieving self-sufficiency and stabilization.
- Participate in conferences, workshops, and other professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or 2-3 years of experience working in non-profit social services.
- Possession of a valid California Driver's License, reliable transportation, and current vehicle registration.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and annual TB test.
