Job Title: Residency Program Coordinator

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California is seeking a highly skilled and organized Residency Program Coordinator to provide programmatic support for our accredited educational training programs.

This is a full-time position that will serve various roles in the Medical Education office, providing services to multiple residency training programs and over 86 trainees. The successful candidate will partner with faculty to ensure an optimal training environment for learners.

The Residency Program Coordinator will be responsible for a wide range of programmatic and operational activities, including designing, conducting, promoting, evaluating, and supporting education programs in compliance with organizational objectives and requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 1+ years of experience coordinating an educational program in an academic medical center or other relevant experience. They will be proficient in Microsoft Office programs and web-based applications.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact collegially with faculty, staff, learners, and outside contacts. They will also have a high degree of initiative and independent judgment, with the ability to complete work and meet established deadlines in an accurate and timely manner.

The University of California offers a competitive salary range of $49.65 hourly. The ideal candidate will be open to change and new information, with a demonstrated commitment to knowledge development and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, conduct, promote, evaluate, and support education programs in compliance with organizational objectives and requirements.
  • Partner with faculty to ensure an optimal training environment for learners.
  • Provide programmatic and operational support for multiple residency training programs and over 86 trainees.
  • Coordinate all activities associated with the ongoing administration of education programs.
  • Support learners, program directors, and program leadership in areas such as teaching and learning activities, rotation, clinic, and call scheduling, core competencies, assessment, and evaluations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience coordinating an educational program in an academic medical center or other relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and web-based applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High degree of initiative and independent judgment.
  • Ability to complete work and meet established deadlines in an accurate and timely manner.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of ACGME accreditation process and institutional requirements.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of graduate medical education programs.
  • Comprehensive understanding of UCLA policy and procedures.
