Job Summary

As a Sales Representative at Interstate Oil Company, you will be responsible for generating revenue by bringing in new business opportunities and maintaining existing relationships. Your primary goal will be to increase sales numbers and expand our customer base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect for new business opportunities and maintain relationships with current customers.
  • Submit detailed credit applications and other related paperwork.
  • Work with the credit department to supply additional documentation as requested.
  • Track sales numbers to ensure gallons are increased on a yearly basis.
  • Accept calls from prospects inquiring about fuel, oil, chemicals, and other products.
  • Maintain a clean driving record and ensure regular attendance.
  • Ability to prospect (cold call) for new customers and meet/exceed company-established goals.
  • Follow-up on sales leads and multi-task to manage changing priorities.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and provide completed results.
  • Must be accurate and detail-oriented in work deliverables.
  • Ability to operate a computer and navigate stairs and walking on a daily basis.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Business Development preferred.
  • Prior field sales experience required.
  • Experience in commercial agricultural, industrial, or construction industries preferred.
  • Experience in lube, oil, chemical, bulk fuel sales are a plus.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite preferred.
