Job Summary

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing new customer business within their assigned sales territory. This role requires a strong understanding of Ryder's services and the ability to educate and develop prospects' value perception of our offerings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop pre-sales strategies for target accounts and create a sales activity pipeline to meet and exceed required quota revenues.
  • Represent the full spectrum of Ryder's services to new and potential customers, working closely with ARs and CDMs to transition accounts and increase sales opportunities.
  • Identify prospect needs and value components through quality needs assessment and value-based proposal preparation.
  • Develop account selling strategies to improve effectiveness and contribute to an effective transition of accounts sold.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business and/or Finance and Accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Five (5) years or more demonstrated consecutive sales excellence in prior sales responsibilities.
  • Good understanding of Ryder's product offerings and ability to interpret financial data.

Total compensation (base salary and commission) in this role is expected to be anywhere from $130,000 to $165,000.
