Job Summary

The Human Resources Leader-In-Development is a Management Training Program directed to entry-level candidates with an Associate's Degree or higher to develop their management skills by training them in all aspects of the Human Resources Department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in planning and execution of associate events planned by the Human Resources Department.
  • Develop an associate communications network within the hotel, via bulletin boards, department communication boards, posters, and flyers.
  • Act as liaison to management for all associates.
  • Clearly and accurately document all associate issues on a timely basis following counseling and disciplinary procedures.
  • Ensure Leave of Absence Policy is adhered to, tracked, and correctly documented.
  • Develop and/or participate in staff training initiatives.
  • Ensure timely and accurate incident/accident reporting. Responsible for ensuring proper use of forms, medical services, and reporting standards to insurance companies.
  • Champion Omni Culture on property, and enthusiastically promote opportunities within the hotel and company.
  • Manage associate benefit file system to Omni Standard and ensure accurate documented enrollment for all eligible associates.
  • Monitor unemployment insurance claims and actively work to reduce claim liability through detailed documentation and hearing compliance.
  • Develop networking contacts and coordinate local job fairs with local colleges.
  • Assist with conducting all hourly stay and exit interviews.
Requirements:
  • Must have at least an Associate degree, with emphasis in Human Resources or Hospitality preferred.
  • Willingness to work 47.5 hours per week with a flexible schedule.
  • Willingness to relocate upon completion of the program.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced high-pressure work environment while executing delegated tasks and assignments.
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing at a high level with guests, management, and co-workers, both in person and by telephone.
  • Must have strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, Internet research, and the ability to quickly learn new software.
  • Must be able to work independently and successfully complete projects with minimal oversight.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively with a strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Previous experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
