Position OverviewWe are seeking a Transportation Engineering Project Coordinator to assist with various design-build initiatives across the Florida region.
This role involves a hybrid work arrangement, incorporating time spent on project sites, remote work, and occasional visits to the AECOM office.
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess a Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida or be able to secure an endorsement within six months of project initiation if licensed in another state.
- Receive general guidance on assignments while exercising initiative and independent judgment to resolve engineering and construction challenges.
- Oversee and delegate specific tasks to both administrative and field personnel, providing support throughout all stages of the construction process.
- Prepare progress and final estimates during the project lifecycle.
- Communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrate competence in most job functions and manage projects of significant complexity.
- May lead a team of engineers and support staff.
Essential Requirements:
- Valid Driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proficiency in English with experience in technical communication.
BA/BS in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management with:
- Six years of relevant engineering experience in transportation projects.
- A Master's Degree in the aforementioned fields may substitute for one year of experience.
OR High School Diploma with:
- Eight years of CEI or roadway/bridge construction experience, with two years in relevant transportation projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida.
- Ability to obtain Florida endorsement within six months if licensed elsewhere.
- FDOT Advanced Maintenance of Traffic certification.
- CTQP Final Estimates Level II certification.
- CTQP Quality Control Manager certification.
