NOVA Engineering is seeking a Field Engineer/Threshold Inspector to engage in Construction Materials Testing and Special Inspection projects.
This role presents an opportunity to work on prestigious projects across the southeastern U.S., providing ample room for career advancement.Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct staff/project engineering tasks, including data analysis, fieldwork, and reporting for various project types, including commercial, industrial, retail, government, office, and residential.
- Assist in project management and reporting.
- Perform field inspections, sampling, and testing of soils, foundations, concrete, masonry, and reinforcing steel.
- Prepare detailed reports and consult with clients to maintain strong relationships.
- Collaborate with other NOVA team members to achieve the company's overall objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in construction testing and inspections of soil, concrete, masonry, and/or asphalt materials is preferred.
- Successful completion of the F.E. exam is required or the ability to obtain it within three months.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
- Strong communication skills are essential.
- The position involves approximately 80% fieldwork and 20% office work, with occasional travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Structural Threshold Inspection.
- Familiarity with concrete, including certifications from ICC, PTI, and ACI is highly advantageous.
