Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transitional Services Director to join our team at New Freedom Behavioral Health. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the re-entry aspects of our members and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, member-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Lead a team of Transitional Services Re-Entry Specialists and Peer Coaches, providing guidance and oversight to ensure the effective delivery of member support activities.
  • Operational Oversight: Collaborate with department directors, human resources, and executive team members to lead, create, and maintain a work environment that advocates for staff and promotes individual/team engagement.
  • Departmental Outcomes: Achieve departmental outcomes, effectively aligning and managing to the company's metrics, and taking responsibility for key operational functions, including member safety, timely resolution of complaints, quality improvement initiatives, and client satisfaction follow-up.
  • Staff Development and Support: Provide direct oversight to Transitional Services Re-Entry Specialists and Peer Coaches, coaching staff for ongoing professional development, navigating boundary and/or performance challenges, and providing ongoing support and assistance.
  • Recruitment and Hiring: Manage the recruitment, selection, hiring, onboarding, and training of staff, ensuring a strong and diverse team that aligns with the company's mission and values.
  • Core Competencies: Demonstrate core competencies, including knowledge of recovery, ethical and boundary-related dilemmas, reasonable accommodations, advocacy skills, and self-disclosure, and consistently provide and document strength-based clinical oversight and supervision of designated staff.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership or management role in a behavioral health setting.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, member-centered care.
