Position Overview:
Our client, a leading global entity in the materials sector, is recognized for its vast array of valuable resources and substantial reserves. They are in search of an experienced professional to manage the operational transition of extensive capital initiatives.
Role Responsibilities:
- Oversee and guide the Operational Readiness team, ensuring that all operational components of readiness plans are meticulously prepared and executed for each initiative.
- Offer strategic insights and tactical assistance for project-specific scopes, timelines, budgets, and progress monitoring, ensuring alignment with project objectives and operational safety standards.
- Collaborate with Project Readiness Managers (PRMs) on a global scale, providing direction and support to enhance and implement readiness plans in conjunction with design, construction, commissioning, and site operations.
- Establish and nurture robust working relationships with site General Managers, corporate executives, and Project Directors to synchronize operational readiness with corporate execution and site operational goals.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, corporate standards, and regulatory developments to continuously improve the Operational Readiness program.
- Execute additional responsibilities as required to further the company's strategic objectives.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline, accompanied by a minimum of ten (10) years of pertinent experience in project management, engineering, operations, maintenance, or construction. Alternatively, a High School Diploma with fifteen (15) years of relevant experience is acceptable.
- Proven leadership and team management capabilities, with a background in steering cross-functional teams and large-scale projects.
- Comprehensive understanding of project management, operational readiness methodologies, and regulatory standards.
- Proficiency in developing and sustaining effective working relationships with a diverse array of stakeholders.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly.
- Fluency in technical Spanish and/or Bahasa Indonesia, in addition to English, is highly desirable.
- Willingness to travel internationally up to 25% of the time and domestically up to 50% to various project locations.
