As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a vital role in the care and support of our patients in the psychiatric unit. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the professional staff in providing high-quality care to our patients, while maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Provide direct care to patients, including assisting with activities of daily living and checking vital signs.
* Assist the team in the care and evaluation of patients, including applying physical restraints or assisting with placing a patient in seclusion under the direct supervision of a physician or RN.
* Demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span of the assigned patient population.
* Maintain established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental and infection control standards.

**Requirements:**

* High School Diploma or GED required.
* Certificate Program Certified Nursing Assistant or some college level social science preferred.
* Less than 1 year relevant experience required.
* Basic Life Support upon hire required.
* Certified Nurse Aide upon hire preferred.
