Key Responsibilities:

  • Possess and share knowledge of global environmental regulations and standards with both internal teams and clients.
  • Collaborate with corporate personnel to ensure compliance with both standard and customized products.
  • Oversee the advancement of environmental initiatives, such as the EU RoHS Directive and the EU REACH Directive.
  • Design and deliver training sessions focused on environmental compliance.
  • Gather data from suppliers regarding the chemical makeup of components.
  • Manage Conflict Minerals reporting, including supplier assessments and data aggregation.
  • Complete customer inquiries related to non-standard materials, directing them to available resources.
  • Engage with customers, sales teams, and management to establish timelines for required information.
  • Assist laboratory operations in organizing and managing local chemical storage and hazardous materials.
  • May perform Component Engineering tasks related to chemicals, including tracking samples and maintaining documentation.
  • Collaborate with Component Engineers to approve design modifications, enhancing the accuracy of component drawings and mitigating compliance risks.
  • Support manufacturing and quality assurance by participating in failure analysis and resolution efforts.
  • Coordinate external testing for restricted substances, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Provide laboratory reports from third-party testing as required by clients.
  • Maintain and update environmental compliance documentation and procedures.
  • Submit comprehensive material declarations and compliance certificates using various sources.
  • Work alongside Design Engineers to create full material declarations and identify compliance challenges.
  • Monitor product releases for regulatory compliance and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the component database for efficient material declaration processes.
  • Inform relevant stakeholders about environmental issues that may necessitate action.
  • Assist in budget management and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with the Global Compliance team and Marketing to develop and maintain compliance documentation.
