Key Responsibilities- Executing comprehensive hard floor maintenance: including dust mopping, damp mopping, stripping, waxing, and refinishing surfaces; performing spray buffing tasks.
- Maintaining carpets and upholstery through vacuuming, spot cleaning, and shampooing.
- Overseeing the cleanliness of designated areas, including stairwells and elevators.
- Utilizing electric and battery-operated equipment for cleaning and rearranging furniture and equipment.
- Managing supply pickups and the packing of regulated medical waste.
- Adhering to protective clothing requirements as necessary (e.g., surgical attire, medical waste handling, isolation protocols).
- Responding to floods and emergencies by drying and cleaning facilities and equipment as instructed.
- Employing equipment to address emergencies in accordance with hospital and departmental safety protocols.
- A minimum of six months of experience as a floor care technician or equivalent background.
- Proficiency in reading and comprehending written instructions.
- Capability to operate powered machinery safely and effectively.
- Aptitude for understanding and responding to moderately complex written or verbal directives.
- Ability to interact courteously with patients and visitors.
- Experience working collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
Schedule: 11:30 PM to 7:30 AM, Monday to Friday, with alternating weekends and holidays.
