Job Summary

Kleinfelder is seeking a skilled Environmental Geologist/Engineer to join our team in Houston, Texas. As a key member of our environmental team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for environmental projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute field activities, including environmental data evaluation and sampling.
  • Oversee subcontractors performing monitoring well installation activities and environmental sampling and/or construction-related activities.
  • Enter, evaluate, and prepare data for reports.
  • Assist with field services, including laboratory sample management and field equipment maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with Kleinfelder staff, subcontractors, and clients.
  • Ensure quality execution of tasks assigned.
Requirements
  • 3-6 years of related experience.
  • Soil and/or groundwater sample collection experience.
  • Able to follow direction and work independently, as well as in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, judgment, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent organization and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong knowledge of TCEQ regulations and guidance documents.
  • Experience with preparing TCEQ reports, including Site Investigation Reports, Remedial Investigation Reports, and Remedial Action Reports.
  • Experience with various contaminants, including chlorinated compounds, petroleum compounds, PCBs, PFAS compounds, and metals.
  • Experience with Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Transportation Worker Identification Credentials (TWIC) card.
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
  • 10 hr OSHA Construction certification.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as effective oral and written communication skills.
