The Team and Role SummaryWe are in search of a seasoned Team Leader to enhance our Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a proactive and driven individual with a diverse skill set to join our Texas division. The responsibilities of this role extend beyond conventional environmental remediation and site management. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of state environmental regulations and demonstrate the ability to foster business growth. As the primary leader in this initiative, you will be tasked with cultivating client relationships, identifying new business prospects, and ensuring the successful expansion of the team.
Key Responsibilities- Business Development: Leverage local connections and market insights to generate new client leads and expand the client portfolio.
- Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong client relationships, delivering exceptional service and ensuring satisfaction.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a team of scientists and engineers, promoting a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Project Management: Oversee multiple environmental consulting projects from initiation to completion.
- Environmental Due Diligence: Supervise and conduct Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Limited Site Investigations (LSIs), and soil and groundwater investigations.
- Liability Assessments: Assist clients in understanding and quantifying environmental liabilities, offering recommendations for remedial actions and compliance with regulations.
- Technical Reporting: Produce comprehensive technical reports.
- Bachelor's degree in civil, geotechnical, environmental, chemical, mechanical engineering, geology, biology, chemistry, or a related field.
- Over 10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with state environmental regulatory programs, including the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and various environmental assessment programs.
- Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
- Experience in preparing project work plans and managing field personnel.
- Familiarity with Texas industrial facilities and permitting processes.
- Professional engineering or geoscientist registration in Texas or eligibility for reciprocity.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
- Willingness to work outside standard business hours as necessary.
- Professional licenses are a plus (e.g., Licensed Site Remediation Professional, Professional Engineer, Professional Geologist).
- 40-hour OSHA training.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to travel as required based on project assignments.
