Position Overview
The Regional Medicaid Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting with the financial benefits coordination for residents within our Caring Communities. This position is essential for ensuring that residents receive the necessary support and guidance in navigating Medicaid and other financial assistance programs.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with facilities to collect and analyze financial information from residents and their families.
- Assess documentation to confirm eligibility for various benefits.
- Prepare and submit applications to state Medicaid programs, acting as the authorized representative when necessary.
- Maintain comprehensive records to substantiate all applications and submissions.
- Address complex cases by escalating them to management as needed.
- File appeals with relevant agencies when required.
- Foster relationships with local agencies responsible for Level of Care and Medicaid eligibility determinations.
- Participate in Medicaid Pending Meetings for assigned facilities.

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $50,000 to $55,000 annually, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and disability insurance, and a 401(k) plan with employer matching. Qualifications
- A solid understanding of laws, regulations, and guidelines related to long-term care reimbursement is essential.
- 3-5 years of experience in Long Term Care Business Office or Social Services within a healthcare environment, preferably in long-term care.
- Proficiency in Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and managed care programs.
- Ability to make independent decisions when necessary and interact effectively with various stakeholders including team members, residents, and government agencies.
- Willingness to explore and implement new methodologies and principles.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with relevant software applications are required.
