Job Summary

The Laboratory Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Textile Laboratory at SGS. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and as part of a team to complete a wide range of tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct verifications, calibrations, and maintenance of equipment in the laundry area, ensuring compliance with SGS' Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Manage supplies and inventory, including signing out supplies from the supply room and maintaining adequate stock levels.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as record-keeping and data entry, as needed.
  • Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Maintain the laboratory area in a clean and organized manner, adhering to SGS safety policies.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the laboratory team.
Requirements
  • High school diploma required.
  • 1-2 years of general work experience, preferably in a laundry or dry cleaning environment.
  • Knowledge and experience of laboratory environments preferred.
