Job Overview

Steinway & Sons, a leading manufacturer of high-end pianos, is seeking an experienced Sales Director to join our team in Seattle, Washington. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with clients who appreciate the finest musical instruments and expect exceptional service.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in sales, business development, or customer service, with prior experience selling luxury goods. A background in music is required, with piano being a strong preference. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills, as well as a strong knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, and Excel.

This is a full-time position that requires some local travel. The estimated salary for this role is $200,000, with uncapped earnings potential. Main Responsibilities:
  • Achieve personal sales goals and support store in achieving goals
  • Develop and cultivate customer leads and relationships
  • Implement a sales referral outreach program for key influencers (i.e. piano technicians, designers, piano teachers, etc.)
  • Coordinate all piano technical needs after sale follow up (tuning, etc.)
  • Use the CRM system to manage and follow up with leads
  • Support all in-store and regional promotional events
  • Work with customers to resolve issues
