Job Summary

The Mina Group is seeking a highly skilled Community Outreach and Sales Manager to join our team at Bourbon Steak in New York City. As a key member of our sales and marketing team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to increase community engagement, drive sales, and enhance the visibility of our restaurant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Community Outreach:
    • Develop and implement community outreach programs to promote Bourbon Steak, including grassroots marketing initiatives with local businesses and organizations.
    • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including executive assistants, meeting and convention planners, and local influencers.
    • Represent Bourbon Steak at community events, meetings, and other public engagements, serving as a brand ambassador and key point of contact for reservations, group business, and events.
    • Network and engage with other sales managers in the area to identify opportunities for cross-selling and referrals.
  • Sales Development:
    • Create and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets, including identifying new business opportunities and cultivating relationships with potential clients and partners.
    • Develop sales presentations, proposals, and contracts tailored to client needs, working closely with the General Manager to maximize reservations and bookings.
    • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth, and continuously evaluate group dining pricing to ensure competitiveness and attractiveness to clients.
  • Marketing and Promotion:
    • Work closely with the JW Marriott Essex House and Mina Group marketing and events teams to develop promotional materials and campaigns that resonate with the community.
    • Use digital marketing tools and social media platforms to engage with the community, promote events, and drive sales, closely monitoring KPIs and reporting on the effectiveness of outreach and sales initiatives.
  • Client Relations:
    • Serve as the main point of contact for community partners and clients, driving efforts to foster repeat business and own VIP and Gold VIP lists.
    • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure client satisfaction, gathering feedback to inform future strategies.
  • Event Planning:
    • Plan and execute community events, workshops, and promotional activities, including NY Food and Wine and NY Meals on Wheels, and seek opportunities for offsite catering and events.
    • Oversee event coordination, including scheduling and staffing, ensuring events align with the brand and mission of the JW Marriott Essex House and Bourbon Steak.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in community outreach, sales, or a related role, with a proven ability to develop and execute successful sales and outreach strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of the New York City community and its key stakeholders, with excellent communication, negotiation, networking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and social media platforms, with the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
Compensation
