Human Resources/Staffing Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee recruitment and onboarding processes for new staff.
  • Establish, uphold, and disseminate efficient administrative protocols for personnel issues, including employee inquiries and complaints.
  • Advise the Executive Director, senior management, and Board of Directors on HR-related matters.
  • Supervise HR team members directly.
  • Design and implement initiatives to improve staff communication, collaboration, professional growth, and training.
  • Collaborate with various departments on staffing and employment-related concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Evaluate existing benefit plans and investigate new program options.
  • Prepare and conduct new employee orientations, performance evaluations, and exit interviews.
  • Stay updated on HR trends and maintain a robust network of HR professionals.
  • Organize and lead company-wide events and quarterly onboarding sessions.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that values diversity.
  • Create and manage schedules for the nursing department, monitor changes, and approve shift trades.
  • Keep timely records of attendance, including call-outs and tardiness, and coordinate with HR to ensure fair policy enforcement.
  • Monitor daily productivity and performance metrics.
  • Manage and reduce staff overtime effectively.
  • Engage with staffing agencies, if necessary, to fill open shifts as a last resort.
  • Provide detailed reports to the Director of Nursing regarding staffing levels, vacancies, or agency utilization.
  • Maintain accurate records of all paid time off and change requests.
  • Experience with payroll processes and basic HR functions is essential.
Required Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree is mandatory; an advanced degree or specialized HR certification is advantageous.
  • A minimum of two years of HR experience in a multifaceted organization is required.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts and maintain confidentiality; a high level of integrity is essential.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to engage effectively with management and staff.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is necessary.
  • Strong multitasking abilities and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential.
Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience, plus potential incentive bonuses.
