- Collaborate with all departments on staffing and employment-related matters.
- Maintain comprehensive records and reports to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
- Evaluate existing benefit plans and investigate new program options.
- Prepare and conduct new employee orientations, performance evaluations, and exit interviews.
- Stay updated on HR practices and maintain a robust network of HR professionals.
- Organize and lead All-Staff events and quarterly onboarding sessions.
- Encourage a positive and inclusive workplace culture that values diversity.
- Create and manage schedules for the nursing department, monitor changes, and approve shift trades.
- Keep accurate records of attendance, including call-outs and tardiness, and coordinate with HR to ensure fair application of attendance policies.
- Monitor daily performance metrics.
- Manage and reduce staff overtime effectively.
- Engage agency staff as necessary to fill open shifts as a last resort.
- Provide detailed reports to the Director of Nursing regarding staffing levels, vacancies, or agency utilization.
- Maintain precise records of all paid time off and change requests.
- Experience with payroll processing and minor HR functions is essential.
- A Bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree or specialized HR certification is preferred.
- At least two years of HR experience in a multifaceted organization.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to resolve conflicts and maintain confidentiality; a high level of integrity is essential.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to engage effectively with managers, supervisors, and staff.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and a willingness to adopt a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
