Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the scheduling of subcontractors, consultants, inspectors, and vendors to ensure timely project completion.
  • Monitor construction activities and materials to uphold quality control standards throughout various project phases.
  • Conduct inspections for multi-trade contracts to verify that the project adheres to contractual obligations.
  • Support the project manager in coordinating field activities between the facility and various trades.
  • Assist the project manager in managing Field Orders and Change Orders effectively.
  • Coordinate third-party code inspections and maintain proper documentation.
  • Facilitate communication among the project team and assist subcontractors in fulfilling their responsibilities efficiently.
  • Perform inspections or arrange for inspectors to comply with safety and regulatory standards at each job site.
  • Maintain a comprehensive daily log documenting visitors, job activities, materials used, and issues resolved on-site.
  • Identify and address problems and conflicts, organizing meetings and collaborating with team members as needed.
  • Ensure safety and security protocols are followed at project locations.
  • Guarantee compliance with established standards of workmanship.

Required Qualifications

  • A minimum of six (6) years of experience in construction, focusing on large-scale building or rehabilitation projects.
  • At least four (4) years of experience as an Assistant Superintendent or Inspector on significant multi-contract building projects.
  • Ability to develop and communicate a comprehensive project work plan, monitor workforce and performance, and conduct detailed comparisons of design drawings to ensure trade coordination.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach in working with clients and construction contractors/subcontractors.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
  • Familiarity with Submittal Exchange and Bluebeam is preferred.
  • Experience in Institutional Construction is advantageous.
