Residential Mortgage Escrow and Insurance Supervisor

Position Type: Full-Time; Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Primary Objective: The role is focused on overseeing the management of tax and insurance payments, conducting escrow analyses, and handling loss claims for loans within the Residential Mortgage Servicing portfolio. This position requires identifying business needs, formulating actionable recommendations, and coordinating the implementation of changes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership capabilities to foster teamwork, advocate for members, and enhance job expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the timely payment of taxes, homeowners, and flood insurance to prevent any lapses in coverage.
  2. Ensure the accuracy of escrow analyses in compliance with established guidelines.
  3. Manage the loss claim process and the allocation of funds in accordance with regulations to mitigate potential financial risks.
  4. Support team development through regular feedback aimed at improving engagement and retention, while setting clear goals.
  5. Promote a culture of compliance within the team, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
  6. Identify and implement process improvements within the department to enhance efficiency without compromising quality.
  7. Recognize potential risks and establish appropriate controls to manage them effectively.
  8. Supervise the customer servicing staff to ensure effective and efficient daily operations.
  9. Maintain a high standard of customer service across all interactions.
  10. Provide guidance and oversight to team members regarding workflow, quality, and service expectations.
  11. Review and update processes and procedures annually for compliance and operational adjustments.
  12. Collaborate with other departments, vendors, and agencies to resolve support-related issues.
  13. Facilitate ongoing training, coaching, and team-building activities for staff.
  14. Participate in personnel decisions including hiring, terminations, and performance evaluations.
  15. Approve employee time records and manage vacation and sick leave requests.
  16. Engage in special projects as directed by the department manager.
  17. Perform other duties as assigned.
