Position Overview

As a Senior IT Solutions Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological landscape of the organization. Reporting to the Division Chief, your primary responsibility will be to lead high-level technical initiatives that facilitate the exploration, assessment, design, and implementation of sophisticated enterprise solutions. Your expertise will bridge the gap between strategic objectives and actionable technical solutions, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic guidance to leadership on the development of IT strategies, policies, and governance frameworks.
  • Act as a technical authority and solution architect, focusing on the creation of effective data architectures, management systems, and reporting solutions.
  • Oversee critical projects, demonstrating advanced leadership capabilities and technical acumen.
  • Engage in the architecture, development, integration, operation, and maintenance of both infrastructure and software systems.
  • Conduct user research and implement user-centric design principles to enhance system usability.

Work Environment

This role may require extended hours in a technical environment, with the possibility of telecommuting based on departmental policies. While remote work is supported, on-site presence may be necessary to address operational needs. You should be prepared for potential travel to various offices to provide IT support and expertise. Occasional after-hours work may be required to maintain business continuity and system integrity.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • One year of experience as an Information Technology Specialist II; or
  • Six years of IT experience, including two years in a leadership or expert role within complex systems or related fields.
  • Educational qualifications may substitute for experience: a master's or doctorate degree can replace four years, a bachelor's degree can replace three years, and an associate's degree can replace one year, provided the education includes relevant IT coursework.
