Position Overview:
The Cloud Solutions Architect will be instrumental in guaranteeing that our cloud-based technology solutions adhere to the utmost standards of quality, security, and performance while following industry best practices. In alignment with the business objectives, this role will collaborate closely with fellow architects and implementation teams to design scalable, secure, and flexible technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert knowledge in governance, enterprise architecture strategy, development and management, as well as business process design and re-engineering.
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of documentation and design specifications to ensure thoroughness and adherence to best practices.
- Evaluate implementation processes to identify and address critical gaps.
Work Environment:
This is a hybrid position requiring in-office presence for two days each week. The ideal candidate should be located in the vicinity of Sacramento.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as an Enterprise or Solutions Architect within a large organization.
- Proven track record in developing key components of an enterprise architecture plan, including creating as-is and to-be architectures, product roadmaps, and defining essential objectives and strategies.
- Extensive expertise in AWS Cloud environments; familiarity with additional cloud platforms is advantageous.
- In-depth understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework, system design principles, integration strategies, and security best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with California State agencies or federal consulting is a plus.
- Familiarity with the Red Hat suite of products, particularly Openshift, is desirable.
