As our clientele transitions their data and workflows onto the Autodesk Platform, ensuring the delivery of a reliable solution is crucial.

We aim to provide a solution that our clients find trustworthy and efficient, while also addressing concerns related to security, privacy, and cost.

In this role, you will serve as a senior technology leader, working independently and reporting to the VP of Strategic Technologies. Your contributions will support the technologies that underpin many of our current and future products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with colleagues across Autodesk to gain insights into our architectural landscape and challenges, articulate opportunities, and inspire change with a focus on building trust.
  • Work alongside leadership to clarify our existing architecture and guide future investments through both quantitative and qualitative assessments.
  • Evaluate current development and operational practices from an architectural viewpoint, emphasizing privacy, security, and resilience.
  • Propose, prioritize, and promote the adoption of Autodesk's architectural and practice standards.
  • Coordinate with various product development teams across industry divisions, as well as members of our centralized platform team, through effective communication and networking.
  • In collaboration with peers, provide insights on addressing ongoing architectural challenges, designing and articulating architectural direction for the platform and related divisions.
  • Contribute to cross-organizational working groups aimed at resolving some of Autodesk's most pressing architectural issues.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of architectural patterns, technologies, and trends.
  • Introduce innovative, state-of-the-art architectural thinking into our software architecture practices.
  • Monitor industry best practices and advocate for their relevance.
  • Document and present your work internally through conferences, mentoring sessions, seminars, etc.

Travel Requirements: Some international travel may be necessary for internal meetings.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience as a software engineer/architect with expertise in both desktop and cloud environments.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to strategically and efficiently complete tasks.
