Job Summary

As a key member of the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort team, the Hotel Operations Director will be responsible for leading the strategic direction of property operations and acting as General Manager in their absence. This role will oversee the Front Office, Retail/Gift Shops, Recreation/Fitness Center, Housekeeping, Security/Loss Prevention, Engineering/Maintenance, Food and Beverage/Culinary, and Event Management departments, ensuring seamless execution of the brand's service strategy and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement property-wide strategies to deliver exceptional guest experiences and drive revenue growth.
  • Lead a team of department heads to achieve operational excellence and meet brand standards.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Committee to develop and implement business strategies that align with the brand's vision.
  • Monitor and analyze financial reports to ensure operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Identify and address operational challenges, implementing solutions to prevent reoccurrence and drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • 2-year degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field, with 8 years of experience in management operations, sales, and marketing, or related professional area.
  • OR 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related field, with 6 years of experience in management operations, sales, and marketing, or related professional area.
