Key Responsibilities:

  • Originate mortgage loans through effective sales techniques.
  • Maintain ongoing, face-to-face relationships with referral sources to generate continuous leads.
  • Engage in sales activities, including attending meetings, open houses, and training sessions.
  • Conduct thorough loan applications and assess applicant information to determine suitable loan programs.
  • Analyze credit reports for accuracy and align them with borrower statements.
  • Provide informed guidance on the risks and benefits of various loan options.
  • Clearly communicate product terms and ensure all necessary documentation is completed.
  • Compile initial documentation based on the chosen loan program, adhering to disclosure requirements.
  • Collaborate with loan processors to prepare loan packages for review and submission.
  • Act as a liaison among all parties involved in the transaction.

Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of mortgage products, pricing, and guidelines.
  • Current understanding of regulatory compliance and participation in required training.
  • Ability to accurately gather and assess loan applications.
  • Familiarity with credit reports, DTI, LTV, and CLTV ratios.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to outstanding customer service.
  • Capability to develop and implement strategies for lead generation and client conversion.
  • Experience in self-sourcing business through various sales activities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and similar software is preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency is required.

Education:

  • A minimum of one year of experience in mortgage origination is required.

Physical Requirements:

This position requires effective verbal communication and the ability to operate a keyboard. Occasional lifting of up to 10-15 pounds may be necessary. Close vision is required for this role.
