Role Summary:
The Crisis Intervention Specialist will conduct psychiatric assessments, provide immediate crisis intervention, and facilitate stabilization and referral services in collaboration with on-call psychiatrists. This role is critical in addressing urgent psychiatric needs within community settings, including emergency departments and through our Mobile Crisis Response team. You will collaborate with a diverse group of professionals, including first responders and healthcare providers, to manage psychiatric emergencies effectively, aiming to prevent hospitalization and promote immediate community-based care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct rapid response assessments and diagnostic screenings.
- Develop and implement safety plans tailored to client needs.
- Engage in collaborative efforts with healthcare teams and referral sources.
- Provide in-office triage and crisis intervention services.
- Facilitate back-to-school evaluations and appropriate referrals.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related discipline.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Access to a vehicle with liability insurance.
