Position Overview:
This is a Full-Time Non Civil Service Position with the Metropolitan Government of Nashville & Davidson County, offering comprehensive medical, dental, pension, and other insurance benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
Implement the agency's marketing strategies and external communications by collaborating with local, state, and national media partners and marketing platforms to enhance the agency's public image and brand recognition.

Demonstrate the agency's commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion across all forms of communication, including print, digital, and broadcast.

Work closely with the Brand and Internal Communications Manager to ensure consistent messaging across various initiatives.

Uphold the Mission, Vision, and Values of the Metropolitan Action Commission, emphasizing exceptional internal and external customer service, teamwork, and respect for all individuals.

Major Duties:
Support the objectives of the Communications unit by coordinating all marketing-related activities and initiatives.
Ensure adherence to media practices and policies while maintaining the integrity of communications and the agency's image.

Pay close attention to detail, ensuring the accuracy and relevance of information related to events and initiatives that promote or collaborate with the agency's programs and services.

Enhance the agency's external communications and engagement through innovative practices and partnerships.

Collaborate with program leaders and team members to support specific initiatives and activities.

Supervision:
This position reports directly to the Brand and Internal Communications Manager.

Work Environment:
The work setting involves typical office conditions, with adequate lighting, heating, and ventilation. The role primarily involves office tasks, with occasional walking, standing, and light lifting.

Qualifications:
A minimum of a bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field from an accredited institution; or an Associate's Degree with at least two years of relevant marketing experience, including participation in a marketing internship or apprenticeship.

Performance Expectations:
Demonstrate effective marketing planning and execution.
Possess knowledge of marketing practices and effective communication principles.
Exhibit strong skills in interpreting and disseminating information.
Ability to analyze complex business issues and contribute to effective solutions.
Communicate effectively in both oral and written forms.
Manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Research and resolve issues as they arise.
Participate in travel as required for local, state, regional, and national engagements.

Applicants must be residents of the State of Tennessee or commit to relocating within six months of employment.

The Marketing Coordinator will be instrumental in executing marketing strategies, creating engaging content, and driving overall marketing efforts.
Manage social media platforms, schedule posts, engage with audiences, and analyze performance metrics.
Conduct market research to identify trends and customer preferences, informing marketing strategies.
Monitor campaign performance, generate reports, and provide insights for future improvements.
Ensure all marketing materials align with brand guidelines and maintain a consistent voice.
Assist with agency events and conferences, creating marketing content for publication.
