RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Purpose

As the Order Management Lead, you will oversee incoming manufacturing and repair orders, procure pricing from suppliers and previous internal orders, and formulate cost estimates for oil and gas equipment. Your primary responsibilities will include efficiently tracking orders and effectively communicating and expediting customer orders to ensure satisfaction. You will also be responsible for conveying lead time delivery based on inputs from Planning and Procurement.

OPERATIONS
  • Manage order processing and quoting specific customer requirements.
  • Input orders received from domestic and international intercompany customers.
  • Oversee order management through completion, ensuring accountability for all orders based on customer specifications, including expediting as necessary.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries.
  • Handle a high volume of orders and ensure timely responses to all communications with thorough due diligence.
  • Coordinate requests for quotations with external vendors, engineering, and manufacturing.
  • Facilitate order modifications with customers and manufacturing.
  • Provide technical assistance as required.
  • Maintain the intercompany price book.
  • Create and sustain product cost models that accurately reflect data.
  • Develop and manage customer quotations, including pricing and delivery terms.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Recognize potential order issues and implement corrective actions to prevent delays and customer dissatisfaction.
  • Collaborate with Planning, Procurement, production, shipping, and warehouse teams regarding availability, delivery times, and orders.
  • Manage customer returns and order cancellations.
  • Oversee order entry and processing, including validation, pricing, and delivery scheduling.
  • Guide staff on cost estimating and pricing workflows.
  • Provide accurate cost estimates to ensure profitable sales of products/services.
  • Request quotes from suppliers to obtain equipment pricing.
  • Update and maintain customer orders in the organization's ERP system.
  • Work with sales and customer service teams to resolve order issues and discrepancies.
  • Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.
  • Perform various other duties as assigned by the supervisor within the job's physical constraints.

QUALIFICATION

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

REQUIRED
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in shipping, logistics, or supply chain within a manufacturing or oil and gas-related environment.
  • Ability to create accurate cost models.
  • Proficient in developing and interpreting complex reports from diverse data sources.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and cost control methods.
  • Familiarity with cost estimating techniques.
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment managing multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Understanding of order management systems.
  • Knowledge of procurement and supply chain techniques.
  • Solid grasp of manufacturing processes, materials, and technology.
  • Ability to work across different time zones.
PREFERRED
  • Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or other ERP/CRM software systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
