Key Responsibilities:

  • Expertly operate SUE utility locating and designating equipment in intricate utility environments to accurately identify all utilities within the designated area.
  • Prepare detailed and precise daily reports, forms, and field sketches, both digitally and manually.
  • Supervise daily activities of the SUE field crew and provide training to team members.
  • Collaborate with project managers to prepare crews for field assignments.
  • Act as a representative for T2 Utility Engineers, communicating effectively with clients, subcontractors, and third parties during field operations.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and operation of vehicles, equipment, tools, and supplies.
  • Conduct Daily Tailgate Safety Meetings.
  • Perform Daily Job Hazard Analysis with crew members.
  • Drive commercial motor vehicles; a CDL license is not mandatory.
  • Oversee safety setups for proper traffic signage maintenance.
  • Complete monthly equipment inventory for reordering purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to supervise and train personnel, including SUE Tech I, II, and III roles as needed.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a SUE Tech III or 4 years in applying geophysical equipment for utility locating, with at least one year in a supervisory or management role.
  • Proficient in reading maps and transcribing technical data.
  • Familiarity with Air/Vacuum Excavation Equipment.
  • Preferred knowledge of MicroStation and AutoCAD.
  • Capable of performing physical tasks associated with operating heavy tools and equipment.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to meet client-required identity verification standards.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment physical examination.
  • Ability to obtain a DOT medical card for CMV operation.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform necessary physical movements.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Availability to travel up to 50% of the time, including extended stays.
  • OSHA Safety certifications are advantageous.
