Key Responsibilities- Exhibit expertise in operating SUE utility locating and designating equipment in intricate utility environments to accurately delineate all utilities within the designated area.
- Prepare detailed and precise daily reports, forms, and field sketches, both digitally and manually.
- Oversee daily SUE field crew operations and mentor junior team members.
- Act as a representative for T2 Utility Engineers in communications with clients, subcontractors, and third parties during field operations.
- Ensure the proper maintenance and operation of vehicles, equipment, tools, and supplies.
- Conduct Daily Tailgate Safety Meetings to promote a culture of safety.
- Perform Daily Job Hazard Analysis with crew members to identify and mitigate risks.
- Operate commercial motor vehicles as required, though a CDL license is not mandatory.
- Manage safety setups for traffic signage maintenance.
- Complete monthly equipment inventory for supervisor's reorder.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a SUE Field Technician II.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting utility company prints and design plans.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to obtain necessary client-required identity verifications.
- Capability to pass a pre-employment physical examination.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks essential for operating heavy tools and equipment.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Availability to travel up to 50% of the time, including extended stays as needed.
- OSHA Safety certifications are advantageous.
