Key Responsibilities
  • Exhibit expertise in operating SUE utility locating and designating equipment in intricate utility environments to accurately delineate all utilities within the designated area.
  • Prepare detailed and precise daily reports, forms, and field sketches, both digitally and manually.
  • Oversee daily SUE field crew operations and mentor junior team members.
  • Act as a representative for T2 Utility Engineers in communications with clients, subcontractors, and third parties during field operations.
  • Ensure the proper maintenance and operation of vehicles, equipment, tools, and supplies.
  • Conduct Daily Tailgate Safety Meetings to promote a culture of safety.
  • Perform Daily Job Hazard Analysis with crew members to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Operate commercial motor vehicles as required, though a CDL license is not mandatory.
  • Manage safety setups for traffic signage maintenance.
  • Complete monthly equipment inventory for supervisor's reorder.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a SUE Field Technician II.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting utility company prints and design plans.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to obtain necessary client-required identity verifications.
  • Capability to pass a pre-employment physical examination.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks essential for operating heavy tools and equipment.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Availability to travel up to 50% of the time, including extended stays as needed.
  • OSHA Safety certifications are advantageous.
