Position Title: Plumbing Department Manager
Role Overview: The Plumbing Department Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing operational and sales functions within the plumbing division. This position is dedicated to ensuring exceptional customer service throughout all phases of project management, from initial sales to ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership for the plumbing department, aligning departmental objectives with overall company goals.
- Identify and pursue bidding opportunities through established client relationships and market analysis.
- Ensure projects are executed safely, within budget, and on schedule, while promoting safety protocols among team members.
- Monitor departmental performance against annual targets and implement necessary adjustments to strategies.
- Supervise and mentor staff, setting performance goals and facilitating professional development.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to address employee needs and foster a supportive work environment.
- Manage departmental budgets and enhance profit margins through effective financial oversight.
- Develop and implement growth strategies in conjunction with senior management to expand the customer base.
- Stay informed about market trends and competitive landscape to adapt strategies accordingly.
- Assist in preparing project estimates and allocate bidding opportunities based on team expertise.
- Report on project progress and financial forecasts during regular management meetings.
- Guide field operations and maintain strong communication between project managers and field teams.
- Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective clients to ensure long-term partnerships.
- Foster a collaborative team environment that promotes loyalty and commitment to the company.
- Participate in company meetings and contribute to a culture of teamwork and shared success.
- Adhere to established policies and procedures while performing additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications and construction drawings.
- Comprehensive understanding of mechanical systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in managing confidential information.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize effectively.
