We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced EVS Lead to join our team at Advocate Health. As an EVS Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our environmental services department, ensuring that our facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision: Provide guidance and direction to EVS staff, ensuring that they have the necessary training and resources to perform their duties effectively.
- Facilities Maintenance: Oversee the cleaning and maintenance of our facilities, including patient care areas, public restrooms, conference rooms, and offices.
- Supply Management: Manage the inventory and ordering of cleaning supplies, linens, and other essential materials.
- Waste Management: Ensure that all waste streams are properly sorted, disposed of, and documented in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all EVS staff are aware of and comply with safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience: Typically requires 3 years of experience in environmental services or a related field.
- Education: No formal education required.
- Skills: Ability to operate various types of cleaning equipment, excellent communication and customer service skills, and basic computer skills.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 50 lbs, bend, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, and crawl to complete tasks.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to cleaning chemicals, strong odors, and physical demands. The EVS Lead must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and safety.
