Role Summary
As the marketing leader, you will embody a passion for our mission and thrive in an early-stage startup environment. Your role will involve articulating the narrative of Summer Health to both consumers and business partners. This multifaceted marketing position requires a blend of strategic thinking, execution capabilities, adaptability, and a commitment to our shared goals. You will spearhead, manage, and implement all facets of the company's marketing strategy and initiatives, collaborating closely with various teams, including clinical and product teams, to engage both new and existing members. Additionally, you will contribute to growth by establishing a strategic marketing framework across paid, owned, and earned channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance the Summer Health brand by gaining a profound understanding of our consumers and their needs.
- Oversee brand strategy, community engagement, content creation, partnerships, performance metrics, lifecycle marketing, analytics, and social media initiatives.
- Define our content strategy and community outreach, ensuring the right stories reach the appropriate audiences through diverse channels.
- Implement ROI-positive market strategies across various channels to stimulate user growth.
- Lead a team of full-time and part-time contributors in content, social media, and paid marketing.
- Establish and execute lifecycle marketing strategies that promote retention through engagement and personalization.
- Utilize data-driven insights to inform decisions and distribute essential marketing analyses for the organization.
- Collaborate closely with the product team on market research and customer insights to guide business, product, and marketing strategies.
- Seek innovative ways to delight all interactions with our brand.
- Foster a collaborative relationship between marketing and the broader organization.
Qualifications
- Deep customer focus: an understanding of our customers and a drive to discover new ways to connect with and support them.
- Analytical mindset: proficient in data analysis, reporting, and achieving key performance indicators.
- Minimum of 8 years in marketing, with at least 3 years in an early-stage startup environment.
- Proven leadership experience with a minimum of 2 years managing high-performing teams in a dynamic setting.
- Ability to design and implement scalable growth and marketing strategies that leverage our brand effectively.
- Experience across various marketing disciplines: brand, product, growth, lifecycle, public relations, community engagement, and social media.
- Strong consumer insight capabilities and a customer-centric approach.
- Knowledge of when to collaborate with freelancers and agencies versus in-house resources.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit, welcoming feedback and ideas from team members.

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive base salary, equity compensation, non-accrual paid time off, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, a One Medical membership, a 401(k) retirement plan, a workstation setup stipend, monthly book club lunches, and parental leave.
Salary Range: $160K - $180K
