About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fiber Optic Network Specialist to join our team at MasTec Communications Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining end-to-end fiber optic networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and test fiber optic networks to ensure high-quality connectivity.
  • Utilize advanced testing equipment, including OTDR, fusion splicer, and power meter, to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of fiber optic technology, including fiber design, light levels, and dB loss.
  • Work in outdoor utility construction sites, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in fiber splicing and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of fiber optic technology and network design.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in telecommunications or related field preferred.
