About the Role

Promises Behavioral Health is seeking a highly skilled Benefits Administrator to join our Human Resources team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for administering all benefit plans, assisting with enrollments, bill reconciliations, and compliance for all Benefit Programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including group health, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, COBRA, 401(k), voluntary benefit plans, life insurance, flexible spending plans, HSA Plans, and compliance with ACA, FMLA, and unemployment claim requirements.
  • Assist employees with benefit enrollments within the ADP Workforce Now system, including life events.
  • Serve as primary contact with carriers and third-party administrators, responding to benefits inquiries from employees relating to status changes, plan provisions, and other general inquiries.
  • Process bi-weekly funding of HSA and FSA accounts.
  • Update weekly 401(k) changes within the payroll system.
  • Review and reconcile all monthly benefit bills.
  • Serve as primary administrator to provide information to auditors for the annual 401(k) audit.
  • Process leave of absence requests, disability paperwork, FMLA, medical and personal leaves.
  • Set-up benefits payment arrangements with employees prior to their Leave of Absence.
  • Process, review, and respond to unemployment claims with appropriate documentation.
  • Reconcile bills by producing and balancing reports to ensure accuracy of billing.
  • Process monthly billings and administrative fees for all group plans accurately and timely.
  • Act as employer liaison with ADP for ACA compliance.
  • Research, explore, and recommend new benefit programs to present to the SVP of HR and Chief Administrative Officer.
  • Oversee maintenance of employee benefit files, maintain group benefits database, and update employee records.
  • Prepare employee reports for budget, incentive programs, and other benefits reporting requirements and requests.
  • Serve as lead resource for input, maintenance, and quality checks of benefits in HRIS system.
  • Act as HR liaison to payroll to accurately update employee records related to benefit administration.
  • Compile a variety of reports to get maximum utilization of the HRIS system, including compliance reports and ad hoc reports.
  • Enter and ensure the accuracy of all benefits information in the HRIS.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.

3-5 years' experience administering benefits and extensive knowledge of HR functions with an emphasis on benefits required.

Experience with ADP Workforce Now platform preferred.

Special Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations filing and compliance requirements and other laws affecting benefit programs, including ACA, ERISA, FMLA, COBRA, ADA, Section 125, workers' compensation, Medicare, and Social Security, and DOL requirements.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, interpersonal, and group presentation skills.
  • Possess strong ability in exercising good independent judgment, paying attention to details, prioritizing, and handling multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
