Position Overview

The Strategic Partnerships Manager will spearhead marketing initiatives for entertainment properties, focusing on anime and manga, as assigned by clients across North America and globally. This role will also enhance overall company revenue by securing new projects and innovating service offerings. Collaborating closely with various stakeholders, including internal departments, the Japanese headquarters, clients, and partner organizations, you will facilitate the company's expansion and manage comprehensive communications for marketing efforts necessitating international cooperation.

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement

Work in tandem with clients to comprehend their objectives and devise tailored solutions to fulfill those requirements.

Lead and collaborate with internal teams to prepare and present the company's service proposals to clients.

Service Development & Enhancement

Partner with internal teams to refine 33 USA's Social Media Marketing, Public Relations, Creative, and Marketing Support services.

Ensure that all services adhere to copyright holder regulations and legal standards.

Client Relationship Management

Provide continuous support and insights to clients throughout the project lifecycle.

Engage with clients to understand their objectives and craft customized solutions accordingly.

Conduct regular meetings with clients to explore new opportunities and address any issues.

Reporting & Financial Oversight

Generate regular reports on departmental activities, including revenue projections, budget performance, and progress against key performance indicators (KPIs), to be shared with senior management and stakeholders.

Team Leadership

Oversee the daily operations of the Business Development & Licensing Division, collaborating with team members on routine tasks and providing coaching as needed.

Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for team members, offering guidance and follow-up to ensure progress.

Cultivate a positive team environment, ensuring that team members are engaged, motivated, and aligned with the company's values and goals.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

3+ years of relevant experience in marketing or business development.

Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field.

Native or bilingual proficiency in both Japanese and English.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages.

Experience in marketing/promotions for entertainment content (anime, manga, games, etc.).

Strong project management and organizational skills.

Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with various stakeholders.

Client-facing skills with a knack for relationship building.

Problem-solving capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in both Japanese and North American business environments.

Understanding of licensing and content distribution frameworks.

Skills in digital/social media marketing and analytics.

Background or interest in anime/manga culture.

Experience coordinating international or remote teams.

Familiarity with the North American entertainment market.

Project management certification (PMP, Prince2, etc.).
