About the Role:

As an essential member of our Packaging & Labeling Acquisition team, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating product integration. Your duties will encompass assessing, documenting, testing, and refining packaging designs for seamless transfer. Utilizing your engineering knowledge, you will contribute to product design, team strategy, planning, enhancements, and quality assurance standards.

Your Responsibilities will Include:
  • Initiating and executing technical tasks aimed at developing new or enhanced products or processes, aligning with the strategic objectives of the organization. Preparing reports, publishing findings, and delivering presentations to communicate results.
  • Analyzing and addressing issues from fundamental engineering principles to complex challenges that necessitate innovative solutions or significant technological advancements.
  • Grasping engineering principles, theories, concepts, practices, and techniques. Cultivating expertise in a specific area to become a recognized authority and applying this knowledge in leadership capacities within the organization.
  • Integrating business policies and procedures into task execution. Understanding the company's business needs and possessing comprehensive knowledge of customer and clinical requirements. Anticipating emerging technology trends within the business cycle.
  • Building and maintaining an internal and external network of resources to accomplish tasks. Serving as a resource in the orientation and training of new engineers and staff. Potentially leading project teams, establishing goals and objectives for initiatives. Mentoring team members by sharing technical knowledge and providing constructive feedback.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally and engaging with internal and external stakeholders. Acting as a consultant for engineering or scientific interpretations and offering advice on significant matters. Representing the business unit's current and future capabilities to customers.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials, Electromechanical, Industrial Maintenance, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering with 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Technical Competencies:
    • Ability to work autonomously to plan, schedule, and execute tasks to meet project timelines.
    • Understanding of quality system controls, including design inputs/outputs, verification/validation, and process validation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in acquisition for Manufacturing and/or Distribution Integration.
  • Familiarity with business software systems related to Manufacturing, their interactions, and requirements (e.g., PLM, BMRAM, MES, SAP, GLS, Bartender).
  • Proven ability to provide effective mentorship during periods of change, particularly in assisting acquired entities through the integration process.
  • Exceptional organizational and results-oriented skills, with the capability to manage multiple projects and prioritize competing tasks.
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and the ability to establish credibility.
  • Intermediate knowledge related to paperboard, corrugated, flexible packaging films, Tyvek, thermoformed trays, injection molded components, and packaging machinery. Familiarity with ASTM / ISTA package testing standards.
