This role entails maintaining cleanliness across various hospital sectors in accordance with established protocols, including critical areas such as Operating Rooms, Labor and Delivery, Cath Lab, Emergency Room, and Burn Unit.
Sanitation Specialists are essential in ensuring a hygienic and secure environment for patients receiving care and for staff delivering that care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate all floor care machinery and large carpet cleaning equipment.
- Transport supplies throughout the facility and occasionally relocate light equipment or furniture as requested by departments.
- Execute a range of cleaning and environmental service tasks to uphold the hospital's cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Customer Service experience.
- Must possess the ability to read, write, and follow both written and verbal instructions in English.
- Physical demands: Capability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to push/pull 30 pounds over distances of up to 90 feet.
Experience: Background in custodial or environmental services; experience in a hospital setting is advantageous.
