Position Summary:
The Packaging Solutions Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing packaging solutions for our finished products, ensuring they are adequately protected during transit and upon arrival at their destination. This role encompasses the entire process of creating custom packaging options that safeguard our products throughout delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design engineering, production, and logistics, to enhance packaging functionality and design.
- Lead the creation of packaging solutions, including crates, pallets, cushioning materials, and loading processes, with a focus on safeguarding our products.
- Develop cost-effective and sustainable packaging options.
- Identify and evaluate suitable packaging materials and conduct feasibility assessments.
- Research and prototype innovative packaging solutions using new materials.
- Draft specifications for new packaging materials to ensure product protection.
- Review design deliverables related to packaging projects.
- Ensure timely delivery of packaging designs to align with shipping and installation schedules.
- Prepare and manage work plans according to project scope, timeline, and budget.
- Facilitate technical discussions with external stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals for project phases.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of five years of experience in packaging design is preferred.
- Knowledge of logistics and transportation is advantageous.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills across all organizational levels.
- Extensive understanding of packaging materials and design applications.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing design requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CAD software such as Solidworks or AutoCAD.
- Strong project management capabilities.
